Leaves and crab apples are fucking brutal. Especially if you’re using a yellow ball.
Anyone not playing the gallery rule in this situation is a true masochist.

Is that the ball in the upper right

I find that hitting onto the fairway helps me reduce my risk of losing my ball….

I bring my dewalt leaf blower with me in the fall. It’s so useful. Just blow my ball right into the hole

Use a neon green ball they said, it’ll make it easier to find they said.
I do love teeing up a crab apple and obliterating it with my driver every fall.

Crabapple trees on a golf course is some sadistic shit.

That’s why I hate playing golf in the fall. I don’t hit the fairway consistently enough to put up with the hassle of hunting for my ball so often.

There’s a course I play near me (Castle Point on Canvey Island) which has the first tee adjacent to the driving range. If you go at all left on the first drive, you have to try and find your ball amongst HUNDREDS of range balls in the grass.
